How can I track changes to this wiki in the Thunderbird mail reader?

You can use the Thunderbird mail reader to track changes to pages in this wiki by subscribing to this wiki's RSS feed. After you subscribe, you receive a notification in your Thunderbird mail reader each time that a page on this wiki is changed. Before you subscribe to this wiki's RSS feed in Thunderbird, you must create an RSS News and Blogs account.

To Create an RSS News and Blogs Account for the Thunderbird Mail Reader

  1. In the Thunderbird window, from the File menu, choose New→Account.
    The Account Wizard starts at the New Account Setup window.
  2. In the New Account Setup window, select RSS News & Blogs, and click Next.
    The wizard moves to the Account Name window.
  3. In the Account Name field, type the name that is to appear in the tree in left pane of the Thunderbird window, and click Next.
    The wizard moves to the Congratulations! window.
  4. In the Congratulations! window, click Finish.
    The account is added to the tree in left pane of the Thunderbired window.

To Subscribe to the GlassFish Wiki's RSS Feed in the Thunderbird Mail Reader

  1. In the tree in left pane of the Thunderbird window, select your RSS News and Blogs account.
  2. In the main pane in the center of the Thunderbird window, select Manage subscriptions.
    The RSS Subscriptions window opens.
  3. In the RSS Subscriptions window, click Add.
    The Feed Properties window opens.
  4. In the Feed Properties window, specify the properties of the feed:
    1. In the Feed URL field, type the URL of the GlassFish wiki's RSS feed: http://wiki.glassfish.java.net/rss.rdf.
    2. Ensure that your RSS News and Blogs account is selected from the Store Articles In drop-down list.
    3. To receive a summary of changes instead of the entire page, select the Show Article Summary Instead of Loading the Web Page check box.
    4. Click OK.
      The GlassFish wiki is added under your RSS News and Blogs account.
  5. Close the RSS Subscriptions window.
