Java EE 6 Tutorial: Plan and Schedule for JAX-RS and Jersey

Plan

The Java EE 6 Tutorial will be split into two volumes. Volume I will cover basic technologies and concepts, and Volume II will cover advanced topics and APIs.

Accordingly, the JAX-RS chapters will be divided between Volumes I and II.

Volume I: single chapter: covering these topics:

• Introduction to JAX-RS - overview of JAX-RS
• Introduction to Jersey - overview of Jersey
• Getting Started with JAX-RS - in depth look at a simple example using JAX-RS
• Running the JAX-RS Examples - in depth look at some other JAX-RS examples

Volume II: single chapter, covering these topics:

Schedule

All Volume I chapters must be completed and reviewed before March 20, 2009 in order to make it into the Addison-Wesley printed version of Volume I of the Tutorial (set for release at JavaOne 2009 in early June).
