Monitoring TOI by Siraj on 04DEC07

We focussed on 3 areas including monitoring, web services management and JES MF. Rajeshwar is a domain expert in JES MF so we did not discuss it.

For monitoring, Siraj mentioned that instead of dumping the raw data, it is better to interpret and provide the analysed data which is a low hanging fruit. For ex. root cause analysis copuled with self-management infrastructure will provide for better monitoring and management. The code for monitoring is under appserv-core and admin, while the api is under appserv-core, the implementation is under admin/monitor. Implementation is provided by the containers.

Based on Rajeshwar's question, we have to better understand the relation between AMX and Monitoring.

Regarding web services management there are few identified tasks (low hanging fruit) in addition to fixing bugs. Siraj will send the details. Unlike monitoring, the implementation is provided by the wsmgmt itself.
