Meeting Notes 1. Review of AIs
-
- Paul:* Determine whether the modularity of GlassFish v3 necessitates modular documentation for GlassFish v3.
Complete Modular documentation is not required. The product team accepted our proposal to provide a single documentation set that covers all distributions. We'll use text labels to minimize user confusion as discussed in the January 8, 2009 meeting (agenda item #2). \
2. Progress on writing assignments by feature
- Update milestones and status as you go.
\
3. Assignment of books without an owner
- Paul revised the GF v3 doc plan to simplify things.
- GF v3 is going to be the reference implementation for Java EE 6, and thus there's going to be much more of a complete documentation set.
- Books have been added into the list of deliverables.
- Book owners were assigned as follows (part of the duties include determining whether the book is required for this release):
- Upgrade and Migration Guide - Hanan
- Doc Center - Hanan
- Error Message Reference - Gail
- HA Admin Guide - Paul
- Deployment Planning Guide - SueAnn
- Performance Tuning Guide - Dixie
- Other content was also discussed and assigned as follows:
- WSIT Tutorial: No longer owned by the docs team; now maintained by the development team.
- Metro 2.0 feature owner: Eric; probably isn't something we'll actually document; this will be doc'd by the dev team through the WSIT Tutorial.
- Upgrade Tool online help: Hanan
\
4. Bug Status
- Bug status back on the agenda; we'll look at the queries in future meetings.
- Try to stay on top of your bugs as you get into content development work.
\
5. Open mic
- Discussed 'half-pagers' for features that will ported forward from GF v2; at a minimum we need a list of such features, whether they'll be ported forward with or without changes, etc.; AI - Paul: Follow up with Abhijit.
- Potential JBI changes in the works that could significantly impact docs; we'll keep an eye on that.
\
6. Next meeting
- Thursday 01/22/09 2-3 PM PST
