1. Review of AIs

    • Paul:* Determine the correct terminology for add-on components. Done. Decided to use "add-on components."
    • All book owners:* Look at 5190 and let Paul know one of three things: 1) No, this doesn't affect my book; 2) Yes, it does and I can fix this by Prelude; 3) Yes, it does, but I can't fix this by Prelude. *Preceding AI: Deferred.
      Related new AI:* Paul to change this to an RFE. Book owners should try to include the cross-references that are being suggested in this issue.

2. Status of Glass Fish v3 User Task Analyses

  • Nothing new to report - we're beyond this phase for Prelude.

3. Status of deliverables

There's just over a week now for the checkin/submission of books; comments are coming in. The deadline for putbacks, checkins to pubstool, etc. is 10/24. What's the team's confidence in meeting that deadline? If you have any concerns, let Paul know.

Status:

  • Release Notes - SueAnn: Issues and What's New sections are still open; expects to have comments by COB tomorrow; QA may also come in with a few things.
  • Quick Start Guide book and HTML - SueAnn: Nothing to report.
  • Quick Start Guide screencast - SueAnn: Nothing to report.
  • Administration Guide - Dixie: Furiously trying to respond to reviewers and get the comments in; flurry or review comments came in VERY late (just starting to come in now!).
  • Developer's Guide - June: All sections reviewed by at least one engineer.
  • Application Deployment Guide - June: All sections reviewed by at least one engineer.
  • Administration Reference - June: All key domain.xml elements reviewed by at least one engineer. Kedar has not done a full review yet, but he was on vacation last week and needs extra time. Lloyd has stepped in and offered to do a review, which may make Kedar's review unnecessary. Note: Questions from Alan about Comet and Embeddable GlassFish content; will follow up with June if necessary.
  • Man Pages - Paul: Done.
  • RESTful Web Services Developer's Guide - Debbie: Received some good comments and implementing them now; will add another chapter in an update.
  • jMaki Application Developer's Guide - Devika: No updates.
  • JRuby Application Developer's Guide - Devika: Document updated with new content. Reviewed by Vivek Pandey. Review comments incorporated into document.
  • Admin GUI Console Online Help - Paul: Done.
  • Bundled HTML Pages - Paul: Finally published today (content has been final for a while but publishing was delayed due to build issues).
  • Installation Guide - SueAnn: Incorporated all review comments; posted updated content; sent mail to reviewers asking them to verify the changes.
  • GlassFish User FAQ - Gail: In progress.
  • GlassFish Developer FAQ - Gail: In progress.
  • Welcome Page - Gail: In progress; will also own the Prelude landing page.
  • Add-On Component Development Guide - Paul, Ian, Kim: In progress.
