FishCAT Introduction (For first time FishCAT's or people needing more info)

FishCAT is a GlassFish Community Acceptance Testing program. The main goal of this program is to provide opportunity to community to significantly influence the quality of the GlassFish as well as to get early feedback on stability and usability through community involvement in GlassFish Beta testing cycle.

This new phase of FishCAT will 'reward' testers very closely by a clearly defined point system. On every new phase of FishCAT the points will be set to zero, so every tester is on a level playing field. So come and join FishCAT, you have the opportunity to better GlassFish and have even more fun doing it.

FishCAT Benefits

There are many benefits to participate in this program. Just to name a few:

• FishCAT bugs will get special attention from developers and quality engineers.
• FishCAT members will run applications on V3 Beta cycle and bugs could be fixed before product release.
• FishCAT members contribution to GlassFish quality will be published in GlassFish Quality Community web site.

FishCAT Process

• What email alias to use: We will use mailing list quality@glassfish.java.net for FishCAT program communication, please do following 3 steps to sign up for this alias.
  • Register at java.net community here.
  • Login here.
  • Go to mailing lists page by clicking here. Look for quality@glassfish.java.net. Click Subscribe to sign up.
• How to apply: GlassFish community members are invited to submit FishCAT application to apply for this program. Here is the online Application Form.
• How to contribute: FishCAT participants will use issue tracker to file issues found during the testing.
• Where to look for results: A FishCAT quality dashboard will be published on GlassFish quality alias

FishCAT Rewards
